Our son started playing travel ball at age 9. We worried that starting so young may burn him out. But at 16 he is still playing, and loving the sport as much as he did then. He has played for only 1 team all this time....the Mid-State Mavericks. The loyalty that the Mavs have shown him is something we all appreciate.

Gavin had a 13 year professional playing career. Highlights include pitching in Dodgers, Orioles, Oakland, and Pittsburg organizations and pitching a two-hit complete game shutout against the AA Braves team that included Chipper Jones.
— Billy Felo
Billy was a starting and relief pitcher 3 years of professional-independent baseball for Empire League (Sullivan Explorers) and Pacific Association (Napa Silverados). He played college baseball at Chesapeake CC and Kutztown University.
— Sam Nott
Sam played Div I baseball at Mount Saint Mary's. Highlights include leading the conference in HR's and RBI's. He has been coaching baseball since 2013 and since 2020 an author, speaker and performance coach.
Who Are The Mavs?
We provide all players with the resources, coaching, knowledge, and fundamentals required for success at their "Next Level" of competition. Our professional coaches utilize strategies, drills, and equipment designed to help your son. Our players will be inspired and challenged by participating on teams and in events against the best competition.
9U - 14U
This age group is focused on building a strong foundation for your son. Players are taught and develop the fundamentals they need to succeed at the high school level.
15U - 18U
The high school age groups are focused on preparing each player for the college level and providing resources to assist in the recruiting process.
